Marthe Kiley-Worthington (1998) Equine Welfare J. A. Allen & Co. London. J.A.Allen, This book is the first book about a single species which examines all the current arguments concerning animal welfare science, and applies them to whether what we do with our horses and how we keep them complies with maximizing their welfare. I read this book many years ago and it really got me thinking. This book should be on the recommended reading list of any equine course.
