developing responsible horse ownership

Horse Industry
When you buy or lease a horse you become part of the horse Industry. The Horse Industry in Australia is very large and important (it turns over a large part of the countries' GDP) but at the same time it is fragmented (many horse owners with different interests all pulling in different directions). This is unfortunate because even though there are 101 different things that you can do with horses we are all effected by the big picture issues such as welfare, safety, disease preparedness (biosecurity) and environmental management. There will be lots more added to this section of the web site as soon as I get time as this subject is very close to my heart.
